Among these, Sawan Somawar, Putrada Ekadashi, Haritalika Teej, Rakshabandhan, Sawan Purnima, Krishna Janmashtami, Monthly Shivaratri, Pradosh Vrat, Ganesh Chaturthi and Radha Ashtami are prominent. Fast-festival list (August 2025 festival list)
- 01 August is Masik Durga Ashtami. This festival is celebrated on Ashtami Tithi of Shukla Paksha every month. On this day, Goddess Durga, the goddess of the world, is worshiped.
- 04 August is the last Monday of the month of Sawan. On this auspicious occasion, Lord of Gods Mahadev and Mother Parvati are worshipped.
- The last Mangala Gauri fast of the month of Sawan is on August 05. Mother Parvati is worshiped on this auspicious occasion.
- Putrada Ekadashi is on 05 August . This festival is celebrated every year on the Ekadashi date of Shukla Paksha of the month of Sawan.
- The last Pradosh fast of the month of Sawan is on 06 August. This festival is celebrated every month on the Trayodashi date of Krishna Paksha and Shukla Paksha.
- On August 8, there is Varalakshmi fast in the month of Savan.
- Sawan Purnima is on 09 August. On this day the festival of Rakhi (Raksha Bandhan 2025 date) will be celebrated. On this auspicious occasion, sisters tie Rakhi on their brother's wrist.
- Sankashti Chaturthi is on 12th August. Along with this, the festival of Kajari Teej is also celebrated.
- Balaram Jayanti is on 14th August.
- Janmashtami is on 15th August. This festival is celebrated every year on the Ashtami Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Bhadrapada month.
- Dahi Handi is on 16th August. This festival is celebrated every year on the next day of Ashtami Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Bhadrapada month.
- Leo Sankranti is on 17th August. On this day, the Sun God, the agent of the soul, changes his zodiac sign. Ganga bath is taken on Sankranti Tithi.
- Aja Ekadashi is on 19th August. This festival is celebrated every year on the Ekadashi Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Bhadrapada month. On this day, fasting is observed and Lakshmi Narayana is worshipped.
- Pradosh Vrat (Krishna) is on August 20. Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati are worshipped on this auspicious occasion.
- Monthly Shivaratri is on 21st August. This festival is celebrated on Chaturdashi Tithi of Krishna Paksha every month.
- Bhadrapada Amavasya is on 23rd August.
- 25th August is Varaha Jayanti.
- Hartalika Teej is on 26th August.
- Ganesh Chaturthi (Ganesh Chaturthi 2025) is on 27 August. This festival is celebrated every year on the Chaturthi date of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month. Lord Ganesha is worshipped on this auspicious occasion.
- Rishi Panchami is on 28th August.
- Radha Ashtami is on 31 August. This festival is celebrated every year on the Ashtami Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month.
