They are invoked in every auspicious work, even on the occasion of marriage. In the house where the ancestors are happy, the family grows with happiness and wealth. 

In the houses of those people whose ancestors are not satisfied, whose souls are unable to attain salvation, there are various kinds of troubles like conflict, disputes, financial and physical problems. The problem becomes more serious if there is Pitra Dosha in the Kundali as well. 

In such a situation, everyone should take some measures on Amavasya Tithi to satisfy the ancestors and give peace to their souls. This day is considered extremely auspicious for bathing, charity and tarpan.

When this happens, Pitra Dosh (pitru dosha) occurs 

There should be conjunction of Sun, Rahu or Sun and Saturn in the second, fourth, fifth, seventh, ninth and tenth houses of the horoscope. Pitra Dosh is also caused when Lagnesh is in the sixth, eighth or twelfth house and Rahu is in the ascendant. Apart from this, Pitra Dosh occurs when some other conditions are formed in the horoscope, information about which should be taken from a qualified astrologer.

• Continuous failure in job or business.
• Delay in marriage or hindrance in relationships.
• Not having children or having difficulty in having children. 
• There will be constant quarrels and illnesses in the family.
• Being surrounded by mental stress and fear. 
• Frequent accidents or untimely death.  

These measures should be taken 

Take a bath in a holy river on the day of Amavasya. If you cannot do this, then first pour Gangajal in a bucket and then add bathing water to it. Take a bath with that water. After this, offer tarpana to your ancestors. 

Clean the pictures of your ancestors and offer flowers and garlands. Feed roti to crow, bird, cow, dog and worship Lord Shiva during Rahu Kaal. 

On the night of Amavasya, put black sesame seeds in the southern direction of the house and light a mustard oil lamp. By doing this, the ancestors are pleased. Putting a lamp under the Peepal tree at night also gives peace to the ancestors.
