News Topical, Digital Desk : The operators of Ahuja Hospital in Kalyanpur, which came into the limelight after an illegal kidney transplant, have also been accused of embezzling Rs 43 lakh in the name of providing kidneys.

Manjinder, an elderly man from Punjab, stood in front of the hospital and made a video, saying that kidney brokers had left him in a state of disrepair. If he died, the hospital staff would be responsible.

He has not complained to the police. Meanwhile, MediLife Hospital partners Rohan, a resident of Kannauj, and Narendra, a resident of Auraiya, who were arrested in the case, were released by the police late Sunday evening after giving them notice.

Parul of Muzaffarnagar underwent an illegal kidney transplant at Ahuja Hospital on March 29. On March 30, police arrested six people, including Ahuja Hospital's director, Dr. Surjeet Singh Ahuja, and his wife, Dr. Preeti Ahuja, vice president of IMA Kanpur.

The names of three more hospitals have surfaced in the case. Four doctors are being sought. The broker, Shivam Agarwal, admitted that several kidney transplants had been performed at Ahuja Hospital.

On Sunday, a video surfaced in front of the hospital, in which Manjinder Singh, an elderly resident of Dev village in Tarn Taran, Punjab, is saying that apart from the operators of Ahuja Hospital, Vikrant, Hasan and coordinator Navneet Singh, a resident of Mohali, had talked about providing a kidney.

He was charged 4.3 million rupees, but his kidney was not provided. He survives on dialysis. He has accumulated so much debt that it would be better if he were no longer alive.

The kidney deal was done on Telegram itself.

Police recovered several WhatsApp chats from the mobile phone of kidney seller Ayush. These include conversations between Meerut's Dr. Afzal Ahmed, OT manager Ali, and Ayush before the transplant. Ayush wrote to Dr. Afzal, “Brother, if it's not going to happen, let's just leave it. I'm not ready to take the exam.”

You gave me six thousand rupees for the rest. I'll pay you back in two or three months after doing some of it. I'm really tired of this work. In conversation with Ali, Ayush says, "I have my exams last April. You should see to it, I'll miss them."

Ali replied, "This month or early next." Ayush then said he would have the operation this month. He also wrote, "If I don't see you on Telegram, please send me your number and send me a message. I don't use Telegram that much."

The lives of patients were being jeopardized

Shivam Agarwal, an eighth-grade broker who has been jailed, not only called himself a doctor but also examined patients. In a video, he is seen examining Avika, a South African woman admitted to Ahuja Hospital, with a stethoscope. Avika underwent a transplant on March 3rd.

Avika is seen groaning in pain in the video. Shivam used the video to lure other patients into buying kidneys. DCP West SM Abidi said more evidence is being gathered.
