News Topical, Digital Desk : The ancient Shiva temple located on the banks of the Saryu River will be renovated under the government's Vandan Yojana. It will cost 1.45 crore rupees. The Nagar Panchayat has also received the budget. The temple was built about 150 years ago by members of the town's Vaishya community on the banks of the Saryu River in Ward No. 12, Salargarh, of the Nagar Panchayat Iltifatganj.
Over time and due to circumstances, the temple fell into disrepair. Now, with the efforts of all the Hindu councilors, the president, and the executive officer, the temple will be renovated.
A concrete ghat with a boundary wall will be constructed on approximately two bighas of land on the river bank. The temple complex will feature interlocking tiles, potable water, and adequate lighting in the sanctum sanctorum. Benches will also be installed for visitors. A residence for the priest will also be built.
Azadnagar ward councilor and BJP worker Lavkush Pandey, Arvind Singh, Hinduist leader Ajay Modi, and Lalchand Agrahari said that the old temple previously housed priests, but due to changing circumstances, they left. Some miscreants even uprooted the temple door.
