When will the Amarnath Yatra start?
The Amarnath Yatra will begin from July 03 and will end on August 09. In simple words, the Amarnath Yatra will begin from the Ashtami Tithi of the Shukla Paksha of the Ashadh month and will end on the day of Sawan Purnima. During this time, devotees will have darshan of Baba Barfani.
Importance of Amarnath Yatra
The glory of Baba Barfani is described in 'Amarnath Mahatmya' of Bhrigu Samhita . It is written in this scripture that a devotee attains salvation by bathing in the Amaravati river and smearing himself with ash. At the same time, a devotee who recites Shiv Tandava after being happy in the Amarnath cave, i.e. by being immersed in the devotion of Lord Shiva, gets the pleasure of gods in heaven.
In simple words, those who aspire for heaven definitely get a place in Indralok. It is also mentioned in the scriptures that by reciting Shiv Tandava, a person gets heavenly pleasures on earth. For this, devotees definitely recite Shiv Tandava Stotra at the time of Jalabhishek.
