News Topical, Digital Desk : Despite the Supreme Court's stay on the new UGC regulations, the political landscape continues. Suspended City Magistrate Alankar Agnihotri, who made headlines for his comments critical of the central and state government policies, has now targeted Union Minister Jitin Prasada. He sarcastically suggested that society send him bangles and anklets to shame him. He alleged that such a leader has never once raised his voice against the UGC and SC/ST issues.
Alankar Agnihotri, while accusing Union Minister Jitin Prasada, said, "The PWD Minister, who first became the leader of the upper castes by forming the Brahmin Chetna Parishad, is now maintaining silence on the UGC. He is silent because he is enjoying himself in the big ministries of power like Electronics and Commercial Tax Technology.
Instead of raising their voice, they are sleeping – Alankar Agnihotri
Speaking to the media, Agnihotri, speaking about the upper castes, said, "This is the same Jitin Prasada who first enjoyed himself in the PWD ministry by creating Brahmin consciousness. Now, by becoming an MP from among the upper castes, he is stealing the applause of power and ruining the society's reputation. He has separated the general and SC-ST classes. Instead of raising his voice for his community, he is sleeping. He is busy building properties worth crores abroad, including in Dubai."
Will contest elections on 543 seats - Alankar Agnihotri
He said, "Send nice anklets and bangles to your local MP, Jitin Prasada, or mail them to him. He formed the Brahmin Chetna Parishad. In its name, he took over the PWD ministry, and then he is now holding the Commerce and Electronic Technology ministries. All of this will serve to hold a mirror to the upper caste representatives. You should have done it before Mata Prasad Pandey called. We will contest 543 seats."
Alankar Agnihotri was suspended by the UP government
The Uttar Pradesh government suspended City Magistrate Alankar Agnihotri shortly after his resignation. Agnihotri had expressed strong dissatisfaction with government policies, particularly the new regulations of the University Grants Commission (UGC). He alleged that these regulations discriminate against general category students and could fuel caste-based unrest on campus.
Furthermore, he cited a controversy involving Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwarananda Saraswati, claiming that the administration had insulted the symbols and saints of Sanatan culture. He alleged that attempts were made to hold him hostage overnight in the DM's camp office.
