News Topical, Digital Desk : The process of Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll is underway in 12 states, including Uttar Pradesh. Following the Bihar election results, the Samajwadi Party and the Congress Party, in particular, are intensifying their campaigns for SIR, from party office to office.
Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav has deployed 27 special teams for different assembly constituencies in Varanasi to act as PDA patrol teams. Akhilesh Yadav alleges that booth-level officers (BLOs) are not filling out voter forms in a completely transparent manner.
PDA police team landed in Varanasi assembly
Samajwadi Party National General Secretary Chief Satya Prakash told ABP Live that, on the instructions of National President Akhilesh Yadav, we have deployed Team Special 27 in various assembly constituencies of Varanasi, which will act as PDA patrol teams. They will help Varanasi voters fill out their SIR forms with ease.
He further said that many complaints are being received from different areas, an accurate voter list should be prepared for the people coming to Varanasi from other districts and no one should be left out of the voter list, hence we have actively engaged in helping the people through awareness and help camps.
Special preparations for 2027
SP chief Akhilesh Yadav has urged his workers to remain active in the run-up to the 2027 UP Assembly elections. Especially after the Bihar election results, Akhilesh Yadav and his workers are busy sharpening their campaign strategy. A glimpse of this is being seen in various assembly constituencies in Varanasi.
