Aja Ekadashi 2025 Muhurta

Ekadashi Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Bhadrapada month will start on 18 August 2025 at 5.22 pm and will end on the next day i.e. 19 August 2025 at 3.32 pm.

Why do we observe Aaja Ekadashi fast?

There is a belief about Aja Ekadashi that the person who worships the Rishikesh form of Lord Vishnu and listens to the Vrat Katha attains salvation after death and gets a place in Vishnu Loka. Just by listening to the story of this Ekadashi Vrat, one gets the fruits of Ashwamedha Yagna.

Method of worship

On the day of Aaja Ekadashi, after waking up in the morning and taking a bath, keep a picture of Lord Vishnu and take a pledge to fast.
Install an idol, statue or picture of Lord Vishnu. Worship Lord Vishnu as per the rituals.
During the puja, one must recite Lord Krishna's hymns and Vishnu Sahasranaam.
Keep awake the night and break the fast the next day.
