News Topical, Digital Desk : Mumbai News: A tragic incident took place on Thursday (19 June) at Mumbai's famous Sathe College. A third year student died after falling from the third floor of the college in Vile Parle. The student's family suspects that someone must have pushed their daughter. 

The name of the deceased girl is said to be Sandhya Pathak, who was 21 years old. Sandhya was a third year engineering student. After the accident, Sandhya was taken to Baba Saheb Gawade Charitable Hospital where she was declared dead.

According to information, she was a resident of Nalasopara on the outskirts of Mumbai. The official said that the student suffered serious injuries
after jumping from the third floor of the college building. She was taken to the hospital, where doctors declared her dead. 

No suicide note found
He said that no suicide note has been recovered from student Sandhya Pathak and the police is trying to find out why she took this extreme step. The police officer said that the investigation is going on, while at present a report of accidental death has been registered.

What did the college administration say?
Regarding this incident, the college administration said, "Sandhya Pathak was found by the college staff soaked in blood near the main gate of the college. On hearing the news of the incident, the college staff and two students present there rushed to the spot for help and immediately admitted the student to Gavade Hospital located near the college for emergency medical treatment, where during treatment the doctors of the hospital declared her dead. The college immediately contacted the parents of the student and called them. Vile Parle Police is investigating the incident further and the college is providing all possible assistance to the Vile Parle Police Department."
