News Topical, Digital Desk : A shocking incident has come to light in Karnataka's Yadgir district. Here, a class 9 student of a school has given birth to a child in the toilet. Everyone is shocked after knowing about the incident. The age of the student is said to be around 17 years. The police gave information about this incident on Friday. When the student's classmates saw her groaning in labor pain, then everyone informed the school management about this.

According to the information given by the police, this entire incident came to light on 27 August. The incident took place in a school in Shahpur taluk of the district. According to the FIR, the 17 year and seven month old student was fully pregnant. About 9 months ago, an unknown person sexually assaulted her. Initially, the student was very stressed and refused to say anything about the accused. The student said that she had stomach pain in the toilet and she gave birth to the child there.

What did we find out about the accused?

The police have investigated the case and identified the accused as a 28-year-old man. Both the student and the child were taken to the hospital and their condition is said to be stable. After the student recovers and is declared fit by the doctors, she will be counselled to find out what happened to her and whether she knew the accused. Based on the complaint lodged by the District Child Protection Officer, a case has been registered against the accused under relevant sections of the POCSO Act and BNS.

A case has been filed against these people as well

Police has informed that a case has been registered against the hostel warden, school principal, staff nurse and the victim's brother in connection with this entire incident. They are accused of not informing the authorities about the student's pregnancy. Four school employees, including the principal and hostel warden, have been suspended for alleged negligence and dereliction of duty.
