Every family will have to deposit one rupee daily in the Gram Panchayat account through QR code.
If desired, villagers can pay 30 rupees for 30 days at the rate of one rupee. There are 462 gram panchayats in the district, encompassing 643 villages. However, waste management will begin in 78 villages. If this initial experiment proves successful, waste management will be implemented in all villages of the district.
Now the condition of the village of the district will improve
The problem of garbage has become common in many villages in the district. Entering any village, you'll inevitably find garbage at the entrance. Villagers dump their garbage on the roadside outside the village. A sanitation worker is assigned to the village panchayat to maintain cleanliness. He, too, is a favored patron of the village head and secretary, completing his duties by sweeping the streets surrounding the head's house.
A unique initiative of the Panchayati Raj Department to get rid of garbage in 643 villages of the district.
Approximately 50 sanitation workers have been receiving salaries for years, serving officers. In fact, salaries are disbursed by the department after a recommendation from the village head. But now the Panchayati Raj Department has determined to improve sanitation in every village. The Panchayati Raj Department has launched a new initiative for villagers: "The Gram Panchayat will manage waste properly for one rupee."
In the first phase, waste management will soon begin in 78 villages.
In this new initiative, all villagers will have to contribute and deposit one rupee daily in the Gram Panchayat's account. In return, the Gram Panchayat will start door-to-door garbage collection through e-rickshaws or tricycles.
The waste collected from each house will be segregated and taken to the RRC center, where organic waste will be disposed of through composting, and the waste plastic collected from the inorganic waste will be disposed of by sending it to the PWM unit.
The villagers say...
"There should be a solution to the problem of garbage in every village. Even if one rupee is spent daily for garbage disposal, I will definitely contribute, but it will only help in getting rid of the diseases that garbage breeds. Banwari Singh, Villager."
"In today's times, one rupee is nothing. Instead, if any Gram Panchayat wants to make the village clean, then we villagers should fully cooperate in this so that the village looks beautiful. Arjun Singh, Villager."
