Civic officials said the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) received a call at 6.10 am about a fire in the Anupama tent area behind the Marathi Bigg Boss set located at the Dada Saheb Phalke Chitranagari in Film City in Goregaon.
Four fire engines and several big tankers were rushed to the spot. A municipal corporation official said an assistant divisional fire officer and three station officers have been deployed at the spot, where work is underway to douse the fire.
The fire broke out two hours before the shooting
According to reports, the fire broke out around 5:00 am and the set was completely gutted just two hours before the shoot was to begin. Several crew members and staff were preparing for the shoot when the incident occurred. Thankfully, there are no reports of any injuries or casualties.
Rupali Ganguly starrer Anupama is one of the most watched shows on television and has a huge fan-following who wait for the new episodes every day. Now it remains to be seen what impact the fire on the set has on the show. However, it is expected that it will be repaired soon.
