Swiggy Vs Zomato:There is a possibility of a different kind of war breaking out between the two big online food delivery companies- Swiggy and Zomato. Actually, Swiggy is making a deal to sponsor the fourth season of the reality show Shark Tank India for Rs 25 crore. Zomato founder Deepinder Goyal may be uncomfortable with the condition that Swiggy has put before this deal is finalized. 

Moneycontrol's report quoted sources as saying that Swiggy has put a condition for the deal that Zomato's founder and CEO Deepinder Goyal will not return to the show as an investor. Let us tell you that Deepinder Goyal appeared as a judge in the last season of Shark Tank. Now the shooting of the fourth season of this show is going on.

 

Swiggy is coming with IPO

Recently, Swiggy has received SEBI's approval to launch its IPO. It was said in the DRHP that the company is planning to raise Rs 3,750 crore, out of which Rs 950 crore will be spent on brand marketing and awareness. Through this, the company wants to expand and reach more customers.

Swiggy's new service

As part of its expansion, Swiggy has formally launched the 'XL' fleet to fulfill large orders at once. Just a few hours before this, Swiggy had launched the service 'Bolt' which delivers food products in 10 minutes. However, this service is currently available in select cities. This 'XL' fleet, which has been running on a pilot basis for the last few weeks, was formally launched in Gurugram on Saturday, the day of Haryana assembly elections.

Bolt Service Details

Talking about the Bolt service, it is already operational in key locations in six major cities - Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Chennai and Bengaluru. It will be rolled out in more districts in the coming weeks. Bolt provides quick food delivery service from select restaurants within a radius of two kilometers of the consumer. Bolt offers popular dishes like burgers, hot beverages, cold beverages, breakfast items and biryani, which take minimal time to prepare. Swiggy said that it will also focus on ready-to-pack dishes like ice cream, sweets and snacks.
