New Delhi. Weather Update Today: Severe heat is continuing in many parts of the country including North India. The scorching sun has troubled people. The temperature of many states including the capital Delhi has crossed 45. However, the Meteorological Department has predicted drizzle in many areas of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. 

At the same time, IMD has also released a big update regarding monsoon. The Meteorological Department has said that the southwest monsoon will move towards the Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal, Lakshadweep, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, due to which there is a possibility of heavy rain in these areas.

Where will it rain during the next 7 days?

According to IMD, strong winds will blow at a speed of 30 to 40 km per hour in Kerala, Mahe, Lakshadweep, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Karnataka. Rain is also expected here. Apart from this, scattered rain is also expected in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Rayalaseema during the next 7 days.

Heatwave alert in these 8 states

According to the Meteorological Department, the torture of heat will continue in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and other 8 states. IMD has predicted heat wave conditions in different parts of Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, Jammu division, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and Odisha today (June 3).

  1. Heat wave conditions will continue in various parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Jammu & Kashmir till June 4.
  2. There is a possibility of heat wave in Himachal Pradesh today also.
  3. Similar situation is likely to prevail in Uttar Pradesh till June 5.
  4. Heat wave conditions are likely over Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh on June 3.
  5. The weather agency has predicted heatwaves in Odisha till June 4, in Jharkhand from June 4 to June 6, and in Haryana and Delhi on June 5.
  6. At the same time, hot weather is expected in different areas of Bihar on June 3 and 4, in Konkan and Goa on June 3 and in Odisha on June 5 and 6.
