
The Indian student who was a victim of a road accident in America this month has gone into coma. Her family members in Maharashtra are seeking help from the Center regarding visa to meet her. Let us tell you that 35-year-old Neelam Shinde, a resident of Satara district of Maharashtra, was allegedly hit by a car on February 14 and is currently in the ICU.
The police have arrested the car driver. His father Tanaji Shinde said in this matter, 'We came to know about the accident on February 16 and since then we have been trying for visa. But we have not got the visa yet.'
Help sought from External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar
NCP (SP) MP Supriya Sule sought help from External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar to get a visa for Shinde's father. She said, 'This is a worrying issue and we all should come together to help resolve it.' Sule said, 'I am talking to the family and assuring them that the issue will be resolved.'

Supriya Sule also said that she may have political differences with BJP leader Jaishankar, but whenever it comes to the issue of Indian students abroad, he is very helpful and sympathetic.

According to Shinde's family, his arms and legs were fractured in the accident. He also suffered head injuries. Shinde has been in the US for four years and is in the last year of college.
