UP News: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Varanasi Sports Complex on Sunday. Earlier, the stadium was named after former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Sampurnanand. Giving a new look to this sports ground, it has now been prepared with modern facilities for the players of Purvanchal including the district. Now the Samajwadi Party has started a protest by accusing of changing the name.

On Monday at around 12:00 pm, Samajwadi Party workers reached Varanasi Sports Complex and started raising slogans there. On Monday afternoon, a delegation of Samajwadi Party workers reached Varanasi Sports Complex. Where they raised slogans and protested against the fact that earlier this stadium was named after former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Dr. Sampurnanand.

But now his name has been removed from the stadium. This is a big insult to the great men of the country. During this time, a memorandum was also given to the District Magistrate's delegation by the SP workers to rename the stadium after Dr. Sampurnanand. After this, the workers of the Samajwadi Party reached the Sampurnanand Sanskrit University in Varanasi, where they washed the statue of Dr. Sampurnanand with water and garlanded it.

BJP's narrow mentality - SP leader
Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party MLC Ashutosh Sinha while talking to ABP News said that this is the narrow mentality of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Removing the name of the former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh is an insult to great men and the Samajwadi Party will never tolerate it. If this stadium in Varanasi is not renamed after Dr. Sampurnanand ji, then it will be made a mass movement.

He said that we will not accept his insult under any circumstances. Let us tell you that PM Modi was on a visit to Varanasi on Sunday. During this time he laid the foundation stone and inaugurated projects worth about 6100 crores in Varanasi. During this time Varanasi Sports Complex was also inaugurated.
