MP News: The government has removed the commissioner of the transport department amidst the raid at the house of former constable Saurabh Sharma in Bhopal. In his place, Additional Director General of Police Vivek Sharma has been given the responsibility of Transport Commissioner.

 The opposition is cornering the government after the seizure of movable and immovable assets and gold worth crores of rupees in the raid conducted at the residence of former constable of the Transport Department Saurabh Sharma. On the other hand, the government has also come into action mode.

While issuing the order on behalf of Om Prakash Srivastava, Secretary, Home Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh, it was told that Commissioner of Transport Department, DP Gupta has been removed. He has been made Additional Director General of Police, Police Headquarters, Bhopal and his services from the Transport Department have been withdrawn. IPS officer Vivek Sharma has been appointed Transport Commissioner in his place. Although it is not clear for what reason the Transport Commissioner has been removed, but all the cases going on in the present situation are being linked to this.

Complaints also at the checkpoints of the Transport Department

Complaints of extortion were also being reported at the checkpoints of the Transport Department. This is also being considered a major reason. However, after becoming the Chief Minister, Dr. Mohan Yadav permanently closed those checkpoints of the Transport Department, where complaints of illegal extortion were reported. The government has started some check points. 

A large amount of cash and silver recovered from Saurabh Sharma's hideouts

It is noteworthy that recently, a large amount of cash and silver was recovered from Saurabh Sharma's hideouts during an operation by the Income Tax Department and Lokayukta. Not only this, 54 kg gold and Rs 10 crore were recovered from a car. Since then, the police is constantly looking for Saurabh Sharma and his wife. No clue has been found about them till now.

After the revelation of Saurabh Sharma being a millionaire, there is a stir in the politics of the state. This is because he is said to be close to many politicians and he has been a constable in the transport department. It is even said that the entire department used to run according to his will. From transfers in the transport department to appointments at transport posts, everything was in the hands of Saurabh Sharma.
