According to the news, a Holi Milan program was organized in the hostel of Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth, Varanasi on March 11, in which hostel and other students participated. Meanwhile, people living nearby also reached the program, after which a debate started between the two sides over something. The matter escalated very quickly. After which stone pelting started.
On receiving information about the riot during the Holi Milan function,
the local police immediately reached the spot, after which the police took charge and tried to control the situation. The police somehow pacified both the parties by convincing them. Amidst this dispute, the students expressed strong displeasure over the entry of outsiders in the Kashi Vidyapeeth campus and demanded that the entry of outsiders should be banned here.
