Moscow: Ukraine targeted a military airbase in Russia's southern Adygea region in a drone attack. However, there are no reports of casualties. While the Ukrainian army claimed that an ammunition depot of the airbase was targeted.

The Ukrainian military said in a statement on Thursday that a fire broke out at the depot. The damage is being assessed. It is being said that at the time of the attack, there were 57 fighter planes and helicopters at Khanskaya airbase, including Sukhoi-34, Sukhoi-35 and Mi-8S.

A village had to be evacuated

While according to Russian media, a US-made long-range drone was shot down near the Khanskaya airbase in the Adygea region. Regional head Murat Kumpilov said on Telegram that a fire broke out in the area due to the drone attack. A village had to be evacuated.

62 drones were used to attack at night

While RIA News Agency quoted the Russian Defense Ministry as saying that 47 drones were shot down last night in the border Kuban region including Adygea. Meanwhile, Russia attacked several areas of Ukraine with drones. The Ukrainian Air Force claimed that 62 drones were attacked last night. Of these, 41 were shot down. The attacks were carried out targeting civilians and important structures in Odessa, Poltava and Donetsk regions of Ukraine.

Zelensky met British and NATO leaders

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and NATO leaders on Thursday. Zelensky's victory plan for the war against Russia and Ukraine's needs were discussed. The meeting took place at the British PM's residence in London.

Meanwhile, NATO chief Mark Rutte said the alliance will conduct large-scale nuclear exercises next week. This announcement came at a time when just a few weeks ago Russian President Putin had talked about a change in nuclear doctrine.

Ukraine drone attack causes heavy damage to another Russian arsenal

A week earlier, another Russian arsenal was heavily damaged in a Ukrainian drone attack. This arsenal is located deep inside Russia's border. Due to the fire in the arsenal, traffic was stopped for a length of 100 kilometers on the highway passing nearby to prevent the explosion of ammunition, missiles and other weapons.

The Ukrainian army had launched more than 100 drones to attack Crimea and Russia. Most of these were destroyed in the sky by the Russian air defense system but a few dozen survived. Some of these drones targeted the Russian arsenal.
