Varanasi. On his first visit to Kashi after taking oath as Prime Minister for the third consecutive time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was welcomed by the people of Kashi along with BJP workers with drums, blowing of conches and the sound of Damru. Flowers were showered on every step and Har Har Mahadev was proclaimed.

He was welcomed from Police Line to Dashaswamedh Ghat. At Police Line, he was welcomed under the leadership of Minister of State with Independent Charge Ravindra Jaiswal and former MP Dr. Rajesh Mishra. In coordination with MLC Dharmendra Rai, folk singers Dr. Mannu Yadav, Ramjanam Bharti, Sharda Yadav, Ballu Yadav etc. welcomed him with songs at Cultural Complex. Punjab Band Party played tunes.

Damru, Dhol, Nagada were also played. People chanted Har Har Mahadev. Pankaj Choubey welcomed him at Police Line and Kamlesh Kumar of Dhoopchandi Mandal welcomed him at Chowkghat. Siddhnath Sharma, Gaurav Rathi, Rajendra Yadav, Sushil Gupta etc. welcomed him at Sampurnanand Sanskrit University under the leadership of Dr Dayashankar Mishra Dayalu and Ambrish Singh Bhola, Pawan Pandey, Atma Visheshwar etc. welcomed him at Lahurabir, Maidagin Chauraha, Chowk, Vishwanath Temple etc. under the leadership of City South MLA Dr Neelkanth Tiwari. In Vishwanath Temple too, slogans resonated to the beats of Damrus. Tableaus of folk dance were organised at various places.

Kisan Samman Sammelan was dedicated to agriculture and farmers

The Kisan Samman Sammelan in Mehdiganj was completely dedicated to agriculture. First of all, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath presented the Prime Minister with a memento of a farmer carrying a plough on his shoulder. Similarly, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan also welcomed the Prime Minister with a Banarasi Gamchha.
