Prayagraj News: A criminal case has been registered against the doctors accused of assaulting the family members of a female patient at Swarooprani Nehru Hospital run by the Medical College in Prayagraj. A case has been registered at the Kotwali police station against three doctors accused of assaulting the elderly woman and her family members. On the complaint of the victim, elderly woman Kunnu Devi, the police have registered a case against the accused doctors. However, no one has been named in the FIR and the case has been registered against unknown doctors.

 

A case has been registered against the accused doctors under sections 115 (2), 352, 75 and 76 of the IPC. After the case was registered, the police started its investigation. The accused doctors are being identified on the basis of the viral video. According to the FIR, an elderly woman Kanno Devi from Banda had come to Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital on Monday to get her daughter-in-law Suman treated. At around 7 pm in the evening, while showing the test report in ward number 12, the doctors started beating her son.

It is alleged that the elderly woman and her nephew were also beaten up when they tried to intervene. Apart from this, the woman was also mistreated


. After the video of the entire incident went viral on social media, a case has been registered in this matter. It is clearly visible in the viral video that several doctors together are brutally beating Kanno Devi's son. Police officers say that appropriate action will be taken after investigation in this matter.

 

On the other hand, the medical college administration has also started an investigation in this matter. According to the Principal of the medical college, Dr. Vatsala Mishra, a committee has been formed to investigate this matter. An appropriate decision will be taken on the basis of the committee's investigation report. Apart from this, it will also be ensured that such incidents do not happen again in the hospital.
