According to a Hollywood report, Angelina has submitted a statement to a California court, stating, “The reasons and events that led to my separation from my ex-husband Brad Pitt have been incredibly difficult for me and our children.”

Angelina further said, "When filing for divorce, I gave him control of our family homes in Los Angeles and Miraval without any compensation. I had hoped that after this difficult and painful period, he would improve his behavior towards me. To this day, the children and I have never set foot on that property because it is linked to the events that led to our divorce.

Angelina also raised questions about her property.

Angelina also told the court that the property dispute had left her devastated. According to Angelina, the two had been in regular discussions since early 2017, when Brad Pitt had purchased shares in her property. She said, “These conversations have always been difficult for me because I had a deep emotional connection to our home, and that's how our relationship ended. Furthermore, the Miraval property was our largest and first shared property. We were married there, I spent part of my pregnancy there, and I brought my twins home from the hospital there. It was very difficult to be so suddenly away from our home and these memories, and it was even more difficult for the children, their lives disrupted.”

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt began dating in 2005. They married in 2014. They have six children, three of whom Angelina has adopted. They subsequently filed for divorce in 2016, but the legal battle for their separation dragged on for quite some time. Although the court declared them single in 2019, they officially separated in 2024.
