Gorakhpur. BJP candidate Ravi Kishan has not only won the Gorakhpur Lok Sabha constituency, but has also succeeded in hoisting the victory flag in all the assembly constituencies. Voters of the city assembly constituency played the biggest role in his victory margin of one lakh three thousand 432 over SP candidate Kajal Nishad from the INDI alliance.

He won this assembly seat by the highest margin of 47,614 votes. In contrast, in Bansgaon Lok Sabha constituency, BJP candidate Kamlesh Paswan was rejected by voters of three assembly seats. Voters of only two assembly seats, Chaurichaura and Rudrapur, proved to be the saviors of his victory.

The victory margin of Kamlesh Paswan from INDI alliance over Congress candidate Sadal Prasad is the highest in Chauri Chaura (16,273) and Rudrapur (14,636). But, Kamlesh could not save his stronghold Bansgaon. Here he had to face defeat. Here Sadal defeated him by 9243 votes.

In Chillupar assembly constituency adjacent to Bansgaon, Kamlesh lost by 10376 votes to Sadal and in Barhaj assembly constituency, he lost by 7632 votes. In the only rural assembly constituency of Gorakhpur Lok Sabha constituency, Kajal Nishad of Samajwadi Party gave a tough fight to Ravi Kishan. Here Ravi Kishan could only gain a lead of 3092 votes.

Ravi Kishan got 1 lakh 13 thousand 300 votes while Kajal got 1 lakh 10 thousand 208 votes. It is believed that Kajal got good votes from Muslims and Nishads due to which she was able to give a tough fight to Ravi Kishan here. In Sahajanwan assembly also, the victory margin of Ravi Kishan over Kajal was only 5,309.

In Campierganj, Ravi Kishan was ahead of Kajal by 18,926 votes and in Pipraich by 28,783 votes. Both the BJP candidates for the Lok Sabha were unsuccessful in winning the confidence of the employees. In Gorakhpur Lok Sabha, a total of 3,029 polling personnel and employees posted in other districts, state and outside the country voted through postal and e-vote. Out of these, Ravi Kishan got 1322 votes while Kajal got the highest number of 1520 votes. Similarly, out of total 4072 votes cast in Bansgaon, BJP's Kamlesh Paswan got 1165 votes and Sadal got the highest number of 1671 votes.
