Two policemen were killed and one injured in an attack by unknown assailants in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region. The attack took place in Darban Kalan, bordering South Waziristan.
After carrying out the incident, the unidentified attackers managed to escape. The police have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation. Groups that have split from the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban are quite active in the Darban area and have often targeted security forces.
270 terrorists killed
- According to eyewitnesses, the Taliban often take over the roads of the district in the evening and start checking vehicles. According to an official report released on Monday, security forces killed 270 terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in 2024.
