Trudeau suddenly arrived to meet Trump

According to Trudeau's office, the Canadian PM had no scheduled visit to the US, he suddenly arrived at Donald Trump's Florida resort. News agency Reuters quoted an eyewitness as saying that Trudeau was seen leaving a hotel in West Palm Beach, Florida, to go to Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort.

We will have dinner together and will discuss many issues

According to Reuters, Trudeau and Trump will have dinner together today and will discuss several issues. The conversation between the two will be kept confidential. However, Trudeau's office and Trump's officials did not comment on this.

Trump had given this threat

Let us tell you that a few days ago, Trump had threatened to impose tariffs on goods imported from Canada due to border related concerns. Trump had said that as soon as he takes office, he will first impose a 25 percent tariff on imports from Canada and Mexico until these countries curb drugs and illegal immigrants coming to America. 

Trudeau may face a big setback

On the other hand, officials from Mexico, Canada and China have warned that if Trump imposes heavy restrictions, it will harm the economies of their allied countries, increase inflation and reduce jobs. Any new setback to the Canadian economy can increase Trudeau's problems, as his popularity has already declined due to the slow economy and inflation in the country.

Surveys show that Trudeau's Liberal Party may lose to the opposition Conservative Party in the election to be held by the end of October 2025. This is why Trudeau reached America in a hurry because he does not want to spoil relations with Trump.

Relations with India also deteriorated
