Special arrangements have been made in areas like Connaught Place, India Gate and Hauz Khas. People driving under the influence of alcohol will also be monitored.

Special traffic arrangement in Connaught Place

Connaught Place is a huge crowded place. 11 CAPF companies and 40 motorcycle patrol teams along with foot patrol teams have also been deployed here. On New Year's Eve, there will be special traffic arrangements in and around Connaught Place from 8 pm till the celebrations end, i.e. after midnight. According to the advisory issued by Delhi Police, no vehicle will be allowed to enter the Connaught Place area beyond Mandi House, Bengali Market and other major intersections. This area will be open only for vehicles with valid passes.
