Sharadiya Navratri starts from the next day of this date. The festival of Sharadiya Navratri is celebrated from Pratipada date to Navami date of Shukla Paksha of Ashwin month. Ashwin Amavasya will start on October 01 at 09:39 pm. This date will end on October 03 at 12:18 am. According to Udaya Tithi calculation, Ashwin Amavasya will be celebrated on October 02. Sadhaks can do Puja, Japa and Tapa after taking bath and meditation on October 2.

 

How does an eclipse occur?

Solar eclipse occurs on Amavasya Tithi. Solar eclipse occurs when the Moon comes between the Sun and the Earth. During the eclipse, the effect of Rahu on the Earth increases. Therefore, no auspicious work is done during the eclipse . Along with this, it is advised to avoid eating. At the same time, pregnant women should take special care of their health.

 

When will the solar eclipse occur?

According to astrologers, the second and last solar eclipse of the year is going to take place on Ashwin Amavasya i.e. 02 October. This eclipse will not be visible in India. Therefore, Sutak will not be valid on the day of solar eclipse. According to astrology, Sutak is observed when the eclipse is visible. There is a Sutak of 9 hours during lunar eclipse. Whereas, there is a Sutak of 12 hours during solar eclipse. However, during the eclipse, do follow the rules prescribed by the scriptures.
