New Delhi: Monsoon has left North India including Delhi. Now we are waiting for the cold. If the conditions remain the same, then there will be no significant drop in the day temperature for about a week. There will be a slight decrease in the night temperature. But after a week, the cold can knock anytime.

The temperature will start falling from the second week of October

Both the India Meteorological Department (IMD) and private agency Skymet have predicted a drop in day temperatures from October 21-22. Generally, cold weather begins in North India from the first week of November, but the temperature starts falling from the second week of October.

There will be rain only in the coastal areas and some southern states

IMD Director General Dr. Mrityunjay Mahapatra has said that the states of North India will not be affected by the low pressure area formed in the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal in the southern part of India. Due to its effect, there will be rain only in the coastal areas and some states in the south.

Many states of North India including Uttar Pradesh and Bihar are not affected

Some areas of northern Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh may also be affected, but it will not have much effect on many states of North India including Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. According to IMD, circulation has formed in the Arabian Sea, which will turn into a deep depression by Sunday morning, but it is not going to pose any threat to India, because its direction is towards Oman.

Another pressure has also formed towards the southern Bay of Bengal, which is being studied. It is likely to turn into a cyclone in the next few hours, which may have the maximum impact on Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. If the movement in the Bay of Bengal intensifies, the temperature will not fall rapidly, but the return of monsoon may be delayed for a few days.

On Friday, the monsoon has completely withdrawn from Uttar Pradesh

In general, the complete withdrawal of monsoon is expected by October 17. However, there is indication of formation of a third low pressure area in the southwest Bay of Bengal in a few days. In such a situation, there may be intense weather activity by the middle of next week. Meanwhile, on Friday, monsoon has completely withdrawn from Uttar Pradesh. By Saturday, half of the monsoon will have also withdrawn from Bihar and some areas of Chhattisgarh.
