Baghpat Crime News: Baghpat Police has recovered the body of Shahzad, who was missing since August 29, from the bushes. Police claim that Shahzad's acquaintance Suraj murdered him over money dealings and hid the body in the bushes. Police has arrested Suraj. On the other hand, angry family members blocked the Delhi-Saharanpur highway and demanded from the police that Shahzad was not killed by Suraj alone but many other people were also involved in the murder. Action should be taken against everyone. Police has cleared the jam by assuring a fair investigation.

 

Shahzad, who was returning home from a clothes shop in Baraut, went missing on the evening of 29 August. His family had registered his missing report in the police station. After that, his family received a call in a woman's voice, in which the caller said that they have kidnapped Shahzad and they want three lakh rupees as ransom, but during the investigation, the name of Suraj, a resident of Azad Nagar, came to light. Suraj told the police that he had killed Shahzad on the evening of 29 August over money transactions and had hidden the body in the bushes.

 

After the murder, they demanded a ransom of Rs 3 lakh 

 

After killing Shahzad, Suraj called his family members from Shahzad's mobile using a woman's voice and informed them about his kidnapping and demanded three lakh rupees as ransom. He also threatened that if he did not get three lakh rupees, he would sell both his kidneys. His intention was that after getting three lakh rupees, he would leave Baraut with his family, but in the meantime he was caught by the police. Police recovered Shahzad's body late at night on the information given by Suraj.

 

Angry family members blocked the Delhi-Saharanpur highway

 

When Shahzad's body reached Baraut after postmortem, the family members blocked the Delhi-Saharanpur highway demanding action. The family members alleged that apart from Suraj, other people were also involved in the murder and action should be taken against all of them. The police cleared the blockade by assuring a fair investigation.

 

Murder over money transaction 

 

CO Baraut Vijay Chaudhary says that after 30 August, Amit Kumar informed that Shahzad, a resident of Baraut who worked at his shop, was missing since 29 August. He could not be found. A case was registered in this regard and his search was started. During the investigation, the name of Suraj, a resident of Azad Nagar of Baraut, came to light. When Suraj was taken into custody and questioned, he told the police that he had met Shahzad on 29 August. Both were sitting at the old warehouse near the railway station. There was a dispute between the two regarding the transaction of money. Suraj hit Shahzad's head on the iron gutter lying there, due to which he died on the spot. To save himself from the police, the body was hidden in the bushes. The police have recovered the body on the indication of the accused.
