New Delhi. Weather Update Today: The capital Delhi, which is facing the heat and heat wave, is going to get a big relief from the scorching sun soon. The Meteorological Department has released a big update regarding rain here in the next two days.

According to the IMD, Delhi is expected to receive rain and thunderstorms on May 31 and June 1. However, the Meteorological Department has also issued a heatwave alert for Delhi on May 29 and 30. 

Temperatures hit half century in these two states

Talking about other states, the city of Churu in Rajasthan has hit a half century in temperature. Yes, on Tuesday the temperature here was recorded at 50.5 degrees Celsius. At the same time, the temperature of Sirsa in Haryana also reached close to 50. According to IMD, the temperature of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Bihar, Punjab, Chhattisgarh and Odisha was recorded above 49 to 47 degrees Celsius. 

Cyclone Remal causes heavy rains here and there

IMD has issued a warning for heavy rains in the area affected by cyclone Ramal. Heavy rains are occurring in West Bengal, northeastern states like Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur. IMD has issued a red alert for all these places. 

Big update regarding monsoon

The Meteorological Department has predicted that monsoon is expected to arrive in Kerala by June 1. Apart from this, weather conditions are likely to be favorable in Lakshadweep, Kerala and northeastern states during this time.
