In the 16th and 17th overs, the South African team crumbled and lost important wickets under pressure. Hardik dismissed Heinrich Klaasen and Bumrah dismissed Marco Jansen, pushing the team on the backfoot.

After winning the toss, Rohit Sharma decided to bat first. However, at one time this decision seemed wrong. India lost the wickets of Rohit, Rishabh and Suryakumar in the first powerplay. From here, Kohli and Akshar Patel played an important role in improving the Indian innings and reaching the score of 176.

South Africa also had a bad start while chasing the target. Heinrich Klaasen and Quinton de Kock had made the match. However, the 16th and 17th overs were the turning point of the match. Hardik dismissed Heinrich Klaasen while Bumrah took the wicket of Marco Jansen.

After the victory, the Indian team burst into celebrations. The entire team staff celebrated this magnificent victory. The players could not control their emotions and were also seen crying. 

The Indian team hoisted the tricolor flag in Barbados. Once Jai Shah had said in a press conference that on June 29, the Indian team will hoist the flag in Barbados under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. 

After winning the T20 World Cup, Rohit Sharma lay down on the field. The players congratulated him on his victory and hugged him. Rohit hugged the trophy as if it was a small child.
