When will the solar eclipse occur?
According to the Panchang, the last solar eclipse of the year (Solar Eclipse 2024) is going to take place on the new moon day of Ashwin month i.e. 02 October . This eclipse will not be visible in India. For this reason, its Sutak period will not be valid.
What to do during a solar eclipse
- Chant the mantras of Sun God during the solar eclipse. Also, chanting the Mahamrityunjaya mantra proves to be fruitful for the native.
- Take a bath after the solar eclipse ends. Purify the entire house by sprinkling Gangajal.
- After performing puja, donate to poor people as per your faith.
- Birds: Feed the birds.
What not to do during a solar eclipse
- Do not cook food during a solar eclipse. Doing so contaminates the food due to the influence of Rahu.
- Apart from this, nothing else should be consumed.
- Keep the doors of the temple closed during solar eclipse.
- Do not touch the idols of gods and goddesses.
- Worship is also strictly prohibited.
- Do not speak ill of anyone during the eclipse.
- Pregnant women should not go out of the house.
