On the third day of the week, the market started functioning on a flat level. Nifty opened at 24,606.40 with a very slight decline of 3.60 points. Sensex also opened at 81,496.71 with a decline of 13.34 points i.e. 0.02%. Nifty Bank opened at 53,441.20 with a decline of 136.50 points i.e. 0.25%.
The Nifty Smallcap Index touched a record level shortly after the market opened. This index has set a new record level of 19,655. After 6 December 2024, the Smallcap Index has once again set a new record level. During early trading on Wednesday, the list of Nifty's weakest stocks included Dr Reddy's Labs, HCL Technologies, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank and JSW Steel stocks. These stocks are seeing a decline of 0.31% to 0.79%. At the same time, the list of Nifty's bullish stocks included UltraTech Cement, Grasim Industries, Tata Consumer, BPCL and Coal India stocks. During early trading, these stocks saw a rise of 0.89% to 2.22%.
