New Delhi. Famous comedian and social media influencer Kusha Kapila has shared a post on social media about her experience on the 'Pretty Good Roast Show'. Actress and content creator Kusha Kapila recently appeared as a guest on Ashish Solanki's popular roast show on YouTube, in which stand-up comedians like Samay Raina, Aditya Kulshreshtha, Shreya Priyam Roy and Gurleen Pannu made jokes on her, which also included many comments about her personal life.
Kush Kapil had to listen to some jokes on her recent divorce with ex-husband Zorawar Singh Ahluwalia in the roast show. This created a ruckus on social media. Many female fans of Kush Kapil raised the question that how did she listen to such jokes. The influencer was also accused of taking money for the show. Regarding which Kush has shared a video on YouTube.
No money taken for the show
Kusha Kapila clarified that she did not charge any fee for the show and she did it just for friendship. She said, "It was done in good spirit and for a friend. No one was paid for it, neither the comedians nor the guests. So the argument that people are being paid a lot of money to listen to insults is nonsense."
The script was not received
Kusha further revealed that she did not know the level of trolling she would have to endure on the show. Being a friend's show, she did not do any research beforehand. She said, "I did not know what was in store for me. Maybe I should have asked for the script and should have known better, but since friends were involved, I did not do it. It was a rookie mistake."
jokes were insulting
Kusha shared her experience during the roast and said, "I endured some really disturbing jokes in front of the live audience and technicians. I absolutely did not agree for this to be played in front of millions of people as some of the jokes downright dehumanised me. It was shocking. If I had not allowed the episode to go live, I would have been called a coward and a crybaby and a different kind of trolling would have started."
