Moradabad News: Farmers' crops are getting destroyed as water from Ram Ganga and Kosi rivers has entered more than two dozen villages in Moradabad. Flood water has also entered residential areas, due to which public life has become chaotic. Flood division officials are making embankments to prevent erosion. Roads have also been broken at many places. Electricity supply has also come to a halt due to water entering the power house. Villagers are forced to live in darkness. At the same time, many villages have lost connectivity due to the flood.

Thousands of acres of crops of farmers have been destroyed due to floods in Moradabad. In many villages, water has entered the houses. Kutcha houses are falling and somewhere the villagers are standing hungry. The district administration has claimed to have formed several teams for monitoring and help in the villages surrounded by floods. The villagers struggling with the flood say that no government official has come to them, in one or two villages where a government employee reached, he just returned after seeing the flowing water from a distance. The villagers say that leave alone help, the sahab did not even get down from the vehicle and talk to the villagers, the paddy and sugarcane crops of the farmers have been destroyed here.

Villagers are forced to risk their lives.
Mundhapande's village Hirankheda is in the grip of floods from last four days. The link road from Hirankheda to Jaitpura and Bisahat is submerged from last four days and water of Kosi river is flowing over the link road. There is around 3 to 4 feet of water on the road. Flood water has entered many villages like Mundhapande, Bhojpur Pipalsana, Thakurdwara, Kundarki in Moradabad. People are troubled by the water logging problem, at some places boats are running while at other places people are forced to risk their lives by crossing five feet of water carrying sick people and children.

Administrative officers have sent teams and started relief work in flood affected areas under the leadership of ADM Finance Satyam Mishra. Villager Rajendra Singh, a resident of Hirankheda, said that about 15 houses have been submerged in flood water. There has been a lot of damage here. No officer has reached here. Our paddy and sugarcane crops have been destroyed. The crops have been submerged in water. We should get compensation. There is a danger of diseases spreading when the water recedes, so the health department team should come here and check.

What does the flood division officer say? 
Moradabad's flood division officer Rajesh Kumar said that flood water has filled the low line areas. The river has started eroding in two villages. We are working to stop the erosion. The Public Works Department will repair the broken roads. We are working to stop the erosion. The banks will be visible when the water level reduces. Yesterday 78 thousand cusecs of water was released. Today it has reduced to 26 thousand cusecs. Every year farmers have to face this problem, due to which there is a huge loss to the crops.
