9:25 APM Share Market Live Updates 17 Sep:After a strong start, the stock market is faltering a bit. Sensex is now trading below 83000 at 82917 with a loss of 68 points. Whereas, Nifty is also at the level of 25369 with a fall of 14 points. Britannia, Hindustan Unilever, Divi's Lab and Tata Consumer are in the list of Nifty top gainers, which have risen from 1 to 1.50 percent. At the same time, Tata Motors is in the top losers list with a fall of 2 percent. After this are TCS, HDFC Life, Wipro and Bajaj Finserv. These have fallen less than one percent.

9:15 APM Share Market Live Updates 17 Sep:The stock market started strongly today as well. The BSE's 30-stock benchmark index Sensex opened at 83083 with a gain of 95 points. Whereas, the National Stock Exchange's 50-share benchmark index Nifty started today's trading at 25416 with a gain of 33 points.

 

Share Market Live Updates 17 Sep:Despite mixed signals from the global stock market, the benchmark indices of the domestic stock market, Sensex and Nifty 50, may start strong on Tuesday. As, the Nifty was trading around the level of 25,485, there is a premium of about 45 points over the previous close of Nifty futures, which was indicating a positive start for the Indian stock market. On the other hand, Asian markets traded mixed, while the US stock market closed mixed overnight.

Earlier on Monday, the major index of the Indian stock market, Sensex-Nifty, closed at new record highs. The Sensex closed at 82,988.78, up 97.84 points or 0.12 percent, while the Nifty 50 closed at 25,383.75, up 27.25 points or 0.11 percent.

 

Asian Markets:Asian markets traded mixed. Japan's Nikkei 225 fell 1.24 percent, while Topix fell 1.07 percent. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index rose 0.56 percent. Markets in South Korea, China and Taiwan are closed.

Wall Street: The US stock market closed mixed on Monday with the Dow Jones closing at a record high. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 228.30 points, or 0.55 per cent, to 41,622.08, while the S&P 500 rose 7.07 points, or 0.13 per cent, to close at 5,633.09 and the Nasdaq Composite rose 91.85 points, or 0.52 per cent, to close at 17,592.13.
