The market witnessed sharp fluctuations during the last session of the trading week. On Friday, Sensex and Nifty closed with a decline. Midcap and smallcap stocks witnessed the highest selling today. After the day's work, the Sensex closed 330 points lower at 76,190. Nifty closed 113 points lower at 23,092. Nifty Bank closed 221 points lower at 48,368. Laurus Labs closed with a gain of 3% today. Amber Enterprises closed with a gain of 3% after strong results in the third quarter. Syngene closed 6% lower after a cut in guidance. Cyient closed 24% lower today. IEX closed in the green but this stock also saw pressure from the upper levels. After the negative results, Granules, Thyrocare, Mankind, Spandana, Tejas, Jindal Saw closed lower.
