According to the Panchang, this time both Saptami and Ashtami Tithi are falling on the same day i.e. October 10 and according to the scriptures, fasting on Saptami and Ashtami on the same day is not considered auspicious. In such a situation, Maha Ashtami and Maha Navami will be celebrated on the same day i.e. October 11.

Know the puja method (Ashtami and Navami puja method)

This time Maha Ashtami and Maha Navami are being celebrated on the same day i.e. 11th October. So wake up early in the morning on this day and take bath etc. After this, clean the place of worship thoroughly and sprinkle Gangajal. After this, light a lamp in front of Mata Rani and anoint Maa Durga with Gangajal. During the worship, offer Akshat, red vermilion, flowers and Prasad to Mata Rani. Satvik food like kheer, gram and puri can be offered to Mata Durga in Prasad. After lighting incense and lamps, recite Durga Chalisa and finally do Aarti of Mata with the family.

Kanya Pujan is considered to be of special importance on the day of Mahashtami and Mahanavami (Navratri 2024). In such a situation, after the puja on this date, invite 8 or 9 girls to your house for food. Now feed them puri, gram, coconut and halwa as prasad.
