According to the Panchang, the full moon date of Ashwin month will start on October 16 at 08:40 pm. At the same time, this date will end the next day i.e. on October 17 at 04:55 pm. In such a situation, the festival of Sharad Purnima will be celebrated on October 16 (Sharad Purnima 2024 Date). On this day, the moonrise will be at 05:05 pm.

Sharad Purnima Puja Method

Bathing in the Ganges on Sharad Purnima is considered auspicious. If bathing in the Ganges is not possible on this day, then add Ganga water to the bathing water at home and take a bath and wear yellow clothes, because Vishnu ji loves yellow color very much. After this, offer water to Lord Surya and flow sesame seeds in the flowing water. Worship Lord Vishnu and Maa Lakshmi according to the rituals. Offer yellow fruits, flowers, clothes to the Lord. Light a lamp and perform Aarti and recite Vishnu Chalisa and chant mantras. Offer fruits and sweets and other things and distribute Prasad among people. Finally, donate special things to people.
