Vishwa Hindu Parishad on Monday reacted to the violence in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh. The Parishad condemned the violence and alleged that SP and Congress leaders had instigated the violence. A case should be registered under the National Security Act (NSA) against all those involved in the violence.

VHP joint general secretary Surendra Jain has demanded that the culprits and their supporters be booked under the National Security Act. The rioters should be made to pay for the losses incurred in the violence. He further said, "The way Muslim fundamentalists pelted stones at the police in Sambhal, fired bullets and committed arson... is highly condemnable. The way Muslim leaders, maulanas and many Congress leaders including Rahul Gandhi and Samajwadi Party have supported this violence is also worrying."
Surendra Jain alleged that the violence was carried out at the behest of the maulanas. He accused the Congress and Samajwadi Party leaders of making provocative statements and said, "A case should be registered against the rioters and their supporters under the NSA. All of them should be arrested immediately. They should also be made to compensate for all the losses."
Case against SP MP and MLA's son
There was a violent clash between protesters and police in Sambhal on Sunday in protest against the survey in the Mughal-era mosque. 20 policemen and four other government employees have been injured. So far four people have lost their lives in the violence. Sambhal police has registered seven FIRs in the violence case.
Samajwadi Party MP Zia-ur-Rehman Barq and Sohail Iqbal, son of local SP MLA Iqbal Mahmood, have also been named as accused. Sambhal Superintendent of Police Krishan Kumar said that six people, including Barq and Iqbal, have been named in these FIRs. A case has been registered against 2,750 other unidentified people.
Internet shut down in Sambhal, schools closed
SP said that the situation has worsened due to Burke's previous statement. The district administration has already imposed prohibitory orders. Entry of outsiders in Sambhal has been banned till November 30. Internet service has been suspended in Sambhal tehsil. Schools have been declared closed on Monday. Please note that the court has ordered a survey in Sambhal's Jama Masjid.
