The accused had used the woman's Aadhaar card

According to a report by news agency ANI, Mumbai Police has recorded the statement of the woman whose Aadhaar card was used by the attacker to buy a SIM card. According to Mumbai Police, their team went from Mumbai to West Bengal, where they recorded the statements of two different people.

First, the Mumbai police recorded the statement of the woman whose Aadhaar card was used by the attacker to buy the SIM card, after which they recorded the statement of the accused's relatives who live in West Bengal. According to the police, it was with the help of relatives that the accused got the woman's Aadhaar card, which he used to buy the SIM card.

Additional CP West, Mumbai Police, Paramjeet Dahiya, while responding to the question of ongoing investigation and fingerprint mismatch, said, "No official report (from CID) has been received yet on the fingerprints collected from the crime scene. We have sent the fingerprint samples to the CID. 

 

We have found many types of evidence against the accused - verbal, physical and technical. We have caught the right person. Whenever an accused is caught, a lot of evidence is collected against him, whether it is face recognition, fingerprint, or verbal statement, we have many types of evidence. The investigating officer investigates each evidence one by one properly before filing the charge sheet, this is all a part of it." Additional CP West Paramjeet Dahiya also told why the previous investigating officer in this case was changed.
