According to news agency PTI, the combined market capitalization (MCap) of 6 firms out of the top 10 companies in the market was Rs 1,07,366.05 crore. This week, the market cap of SBI and ICICI Bank saw the highest increase.
On November 1, 2024, on the occasion of Diwali (Diwali 2024), a one-hour special Muhurat trading was held at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE). In this one-hour special trading session, the stock market traded with gains.
The market cap of these companies increased
The market valuation of State Bank of India rose by Rs 36,100.09 crore to Rs 7,32,755.93 crore.
ICICI Bank's market capitalisation increased from Rs 25,775.58 crore to Rs 9,10,686.85 crore.
The m-cap of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) increased by Rs 16,887.74 crore to Rs 5,88,509.41 crore.
The market capitalisation of Reliance Industries increased by Rs 15,393.45 crore to Rs 18,12,120.05 crore.
ITC added Rs 10,671.63 crore to its m-cap, taking its market capitalisation to Rs 6,13,662.96 crore.
Hindustan Unilever's market valuation (m-cap) increased by Rs 2,537.56 crore to Rs 5,96,408.50 crore.
Decline in the market cap of these companies
Last week, the market cap of four companies declined. The shares of these companies have given negative returns in the last five sessions.
Infosys' market cap declined by Rs 38,054.43 crore to Rs 7,31,442.18 crore.
Bharti Airtel's market capitalisation declined by Rs 27,299.54 crore to Rs 9,20,299.35 crore.
TCS valuation declined by Rs 26,231.13 crore to Rs 14,41,952.60 crore.
HDFC Bank's market cap declined by Rs 3,662.78 crore to Rs 13,26,076.65 crore.
Ranking of top 10 firms
Reliance Industries remained the most valuable company this week too. It was followed by TCS, HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, State Bank of India, Infosys, ITC, Hindustan Unilever and LIC.
