Haryana News: A tribute meeting was organized for former Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala in Sirsa on Tuesday. Bharatiya Kisan Union leader Rakesh Tikait reached Chautala village and paid tribute to Om Prakash Chautala. Recalling the ideology and contribution of Om Prakash Chautala, he said that he always advocated for the farmers. He also mentioned his deep relationship with the Chautala family. He said that he has seen politics from Devi Lal to today's generation.

Tikait said that Om Prakash Chautala was always associated with public service and rural areas. Chautala preferred to travel through villages instead of going to Chandigarh. Chautala remained dedicated to ground politics and farmers' interests. Rakesh Tikait said that Om Prakash Chautala's policies worked for the welfare of farmers and the rural community. He also appealed to the Chautala family to unite.

Tikait also gave a statement on the hunger strike of farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal. He said that the Supreme Court has also expressed concern over Dallewal's hunger strike. He alleged that the Center wants to defame the Punjab government. He further said that the farmer movement can be resolved with the mediation of the central government.
