Moradabad. (UP Assembly By-Election)  After the Lok Sabha elections, the electoral board has started being laid out for the four assembly seats in western Uttar Pradesh that were vacant. Candidates are applying to the leadership of political parties.

The ministers of the state government are also checking the preparations of BJP on these seats. Out of four seats, three were with NDA, only Kundarki seat was with SP. BJP's ally Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) has its eyes on three seats in the by-election. The party is preparing to stake claim on these seats. There may be a problem on two of these seats.

Nine seats fell vacant after the Lok Sabha elections

Nine assembly seats have fallen vacant in the state after the Lok Sabha elections. The MLAs elected from here in 2022 have now become MPs. Of these, four seats are Meerapur (RLD), Ghaziabad Sadar (BJP), Khair (BJP) and Kundarki (SP) from western Uttar Pradesh.

Although the Election Commission has not yet announced the by-election, preparations for it are going on in full swing among the political parties. Applications are also being taken in BJP and SP. More than 12 contenders have emerged in each party for each seat.

Encouraged by the 100% victory in the two seats it won in the Lok Sabha elections, RLD wants to show its strength in the by-elections. The party is preparing to stake claim on Mirapur, Khair and Kundarki seats.
