Agra News Today: Agra Police has taken a major action and busted two factories making fake medicines. Large quantities of fake medicines were manufactured and supplied in these factories. Police have recovered a large number of fake medicines and machines from the spot, whose value is being estimated in crores. 

The police raided and arrested Saurabh Dubey and Ashwani Gupta, the operators of a fake medicine factory. A large number of fake medicines and equipment were found during the raid. The cost of the recovered raw material, machines and medicines is in crores. 

Police's big action on information
Police successfully carried out the raid under the leadership of DCP City Suraj Rai. Police had received information that a fake medicine factory was being operated in Shastripuram area. After this, a joint team of police and SOG raided the fake medicine factory in Shastripuram area.

When the joint team of police and SOG reached the spot, workers were working in both the factories. Medicines, machines, syringes, packaging raw material were recovered from the spot. After this, the police informed the drug department about it.  

The drug department officials are busy investigating the
drug department and are evaluating the goods recovered from both the factories, after which it will be clear what is the market value of the recovered goods. The police have detained labourers, factory manager and operators Saurabh Dubey and Ashwani Gupta along with a large quantity of counterfeit goods from the spot. 

Saurabh Dubey and Ashwani Gupta are brother-in-law. During interrogation, it has come to light that fake medicines were supplied in Agra and nearby districts and other states as well. Fake medicines were supplied in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Punjab, while the raw material for making fake medicines was brought from Delhi and Mumbai. 

Police arrested 8 people.
DCP City Suraj Rai said that a fake medicine factory was caught in a joint operation by SOG, surveillance and police in Thana Sikandra area. A large quantity of raw material, finished products and machinery was found on the spot. The factory was running without license and permission. 

According to DCP City Suraj Rai, the drug department will register a case under relevant sections after investigation. 8 people have been detained in this case, including the two main accused. He said that action will also be taken against other people involved in the supply chain.
