Father, son and son-in-law's crime factory, they used to steal vehicles from outside parks or gyms in the early hours, all three were arrested:

Delhi Crime: The Anti Auto Theft Squad of Delhi's Dwarka Police has exposed an inter-state syndicate. The big thing is that this gang was being run by people of the same family, father, son and son-in-law. This gang had stolen more than two dozen vehicles in the last few months. Delhi Police has arrested the kingpin of this gang, Raman alias Rakesh, his son Sagar and son-in-law Neeraj.

If father is number one then son is number ten

According to Delhi Police, the special thing about this gang was that only a family member could become a part of this gang. Gang leader Raman had once tried to start a family business but when he was not successful in that, he formed a family car thief gang.

The story of the whole operation

The Delhi Police team investigated the activities of this gang by examining about 200 CCTV cameras. The thieves usually carried out car thefts in the early morning. They especially targeted cars like Maruti Brezza, Swift Dzire and Wagon R which were parked outside parks and gyms. On 28 May 2025, based on intelligence, the police laid a trap in Uttam Nagar area and arrested Raman and his son Sagar with a stolen Wagon R car. The car had a fake number plate and during investigation, a complaint was found lodged in this regard from Keshavpuram police station.

Police seized stolen vehicles and high-tech equipment

Delhi Police also recovered several high-tech items from the spot which were used to disable the security system of cars. Delhi Police said that this action will help in curbing the incidents of car thefts in Dwarka and surrounding areas.
