Siddharthnagar News: In Siddharthnagar, Uttar Pradesh, four accused were arrested for illegally selling books meant for free distribution at a junk shop. On Friday, the Block Education Officer was also arrested and sent to jail. Let us tell you that on October 15, 2024, the books provided to the children free of cost by the Uttar Pradesh government were being sold directly to the junk dealer instead of giving them to the children. The matter was revealed when Kotwali in-charge Ramkripal Shukla received information that the books received for free distribution to the children of government schools were being sold illegally at a junk shop located in Mangal Bazaar. When

the police team reached the spot on the information and interrogated the junk shop owner, it was found that the books of the government school were sold by the office assistant and peon of BRC Bansi. At the same time, one junk shopkeeper and two book sellers were arrested from BRC Bansi and necessary legal action was taken by registering case number 201/2024 under sections 316 (5), 317 (2) at the local police station. At the same time, police officials also said that those doing such work will not be spared at all.

All the accused were sent to jail.
Police registered a case and arrested Ankit Kasera son Arun Kumar Kasera resident of Mohalla Shastrinagar, Pratik Kasera alias Gopal son Arun Kumar alias Bihari resident of Mohalla Shastrinagar police station Kotwali Bansi, Sahabuddin son late Mohd Islam resident Neuri police station Mishraulia Siddharth Nagar and Ramjas son Chandrabhan resident Pratapnagar. Today on Friday, Block Education Officer Akhilesh Kumar Singh was arrested and sent to jail. In this regard, Kotwali in-charge Ramkripal Shukla said that further action is being taken by arresting Block Education Officer Akhilesh Kumar Singh in the said case.
