Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday said people who receive education in their mother tongue are achieving success across the world. Naidu said there was a misconception that knowledge can be acquired only in the English language. 

It is easier to get education in mother tongue

Speaking in the Assembly, Chief Minister Naidu said, "Language is only a medium of communication. Knowledge will not come from language. People who study in their mother tongue are achieving success across the world." He said it is easier to get education in mother tongue. 

Naidu's comment on Centre-Tamil Nadu language dispute

Naidu's remarks came after Deputy Chief Minister and Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan recently commented on the ongoing language dispute between the Tamil Nadu government and the central government. Chief Minister Naidu said, "I am telling you this very clearly. Language is not for hatred. Here (in Andhra Pradesh) the mother tongue is Telugu. Hindi is the 'national language' and the international language is English."

There is also a call to learn more and more languages 

CM Naidu stressed that it is important to learn as many languages ​​as possible without forgetting the mother tongue for livelihood. He said that by learning the 'national language' one can easily converse in Hindi in Delhi. He appealed that there is no need to get involved in 'unnecessary politics over languages'. Along with this, Naidu also called for learning as many languages ​​as possible.
