Kanpur. The strategy will be decided on Sunday to stop the sale of paan masala and tobacco pouches from the same shop. The district administration and food safety and drug administration are preparing to stop the manufacture and sale of tobacco from the paan masala manufacturers. For this, a meeting will be held in the Collectorate under the chairmanship of Additional District Magistrate Nagar Dr. Rajesh Kumar and every point will be discussed. All the small and big paan masala traders of the city have been called in this.
Assistant Commissioner Food-2 Vijay Pratap Singh said that the sale of tobacco pouches and pan masala together has been banned from June 1. A meeting will be held in the Collectorate on June 2 to decide that pan masala and tobacco of the same brand should not reach the shops at all. Along with this, teams have started secret investigations in 21 zones of the city from Saturday itself.
We are making a list of those who do business without license and registration. Those who sell pan masala and tobacco together are also under surveillance. Further action will be taken after preparing their details.
