The owner of Tesla has made a big announcement. He has recently said that phone service will be available without a mobile tower. Its beta testing can start from today. Sharing the information on the social media platform X handle, he said that the beta testing of Starlink 's direct  -to-cell satellite service  can start from January 27, i.e. today.

Mobile network will be directly connected to satellite

Confirmed by re-sharing the post of IBC Group founder Mario Nawfal  . It mentions Starlink  's direct to sale satellite service. Under the direct to sale satellite service, mobiles will be directly connected to the satellite based network. After this, they will be able to use the phone service.

Under the Direct to Cell satellite service, there is no need to install mobile network towers on the ground. In this way, the burden on traditional mobile towers will be reduced.

Internet speed will be tremendous

For the past few months, Starlink has been continuously expanding its satellite communication network. The company is constantly launching new rockets as well as deploying new satellites to increase internet speed. According to a report by TweakTown , users can now use the internet at a speed of 250-350Mbps. This is much more than the 50-60Mbps speed available through fiber in South Australian areas.

Direct to cell satellite service will be very helpful in emergencies. Usually, during disasters like cyclones and earthquakes, problems like falling of mobile towers, wiring problems or damage occur. When the phones are connected to the satellite network, connectivity will remain intact even at the disaster site and emergency services support will be available without any delay.   

Network will come in dead zone area also

The direct-to-sale service will also offer connectivity to millions of Internet of Things (IoT) devices. Users will continue to get uninterrupted connectivity during emergencies, especially when traveling in rural areas or areas that are dead zones. Direct-to-sale satellites will currently be launched on SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket and Starship.

If this technology of Elon Musk becomes successful, then the future of technology will definitely change completely. It will have a huge impact on the telecom industry.
